Licenses & Attribution

Quanta is built on a foundation that includes open-source software and openly licensed model weights. This page records those components and the terms under which they are used, as those licenses ask.

Model foundations

The Quanta model family is developed by QuantaCore Labs. Each model's behaviour, alignment, reasoning protocol and Foundational Code of Ethics are QuantaCore Labs' own work. The underlying weights each model builds on are openly licensed and are attributed here.

Quanta-Pro

Quanta-Pro is the only model in the family whose foundation weights are not Apache 2.0. Qwen2.5-72B-Instruct is licensed under the Qwen License Agreement, which asks for the following attribution. It applies to Quanta-Pro alone.

The foundation weights listed above are licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0 — with the exception of Qwen2.5-72B-Instruct, which is licensed under the Qwen License Agreement linked in the table. You may obtain a copy of the Apache License at apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.

In accordance with Section 4(b) of the Apache License: the foundation weights have been modified by QuantaCore Labs, including through system-level instruction, alignment and inference configuration. The same is true of Qwen2.5-72B-Instruct under the Qwen License Agreement, which is why the attribution above reads “Improved using Qwen”.
